Cookie Policy

This website uses cookies

We use cookies to personalize content, to provide social media features and to analyze our traffic or advertising performance (generated visits to our website) and to secure our website. We also share information about your use of our site with our social media partners, who may combine it with other information you have provided to them or that they have collected from your use of their services.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites you visit. They are widely used to enable websites to operate, or operate more efficiently, and to provide information to site owners. The cookies we use enable us, among other things, to improve your experience when using our website and to ensure that the website functions as you expect it to.

What are the different types of cookies?

A cookie can be classified according to its lifespan and the domain to which it belongs.

Depending on its lifetime, a cookie is either:

  • a session cookie  that is deleted when the user closes the browser; or
  • a persistent cookie  that remains on the user's computer/device for a predefined period of time.

With regard to the domains to which they belong, there are two types:

  • First party cookies  : These are cookies set directly by the website or domain the user is visiting.
  • Third-party cookies  : These are cookies set by a domain other than the one the user is visiting.  This typically occurs when the website incorporates elements from other sites, such as images, social media plugins or advertising.  When the browser or other software fetches these elements from the other sites, they can set cookies as well.

What categories of cookies are used on our website?

In general, depends on the features and services we provide, there are 4 categories of cookies:

  1. Essential cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the functioning of the website to which you, as a user, have requested access. Essential cookies also include cookies intended for communication purposes only (for the sole purpose of transmission over the network). These essential cookies are exempt from consent.

  2. Cookies for audience measurement

These cookies make it possible to generate statistics on visits in order to improve the website. The solution used for this (Matomo) anonymizes IP addresses. These cookies are exempt from consent but you can oppose their use at any time.

  3. Video cookies
These cookies are set by a third-party service (Youtube) to use your navigation data in accordance with their conditions, when playing videos of the service embedded on our site.
We incorporate videos on our site using the "privacy- enhanced" mode proposed by Youtube. This means that when viewing the embedded videos, no activity data is collected to personalize the Youtube viewing experience.

  4. Cookies for captcha

These cookies are used in conjunction with Google reCAPTCHA service which goal is to prevent robots from doing automated actions on the website.

“Captcha” is a challenge-response test to validate the user is a human or not.

By consenting to this Google reCAPTCHA, you agree to the transfer of data to Google in order to validate the captcha, notably to the USA, which may not provide you with the same level of protection as EU laws.
